Waterbased Ink

Are you involved in the custom screen printing world?  Have you heard about printing with waterbased ink?  Lots of custom screen printing is done with plastisol inks because they’re easy to use and they are cost effective, but they aren’t the only option.  Plastisol inks don’t contain a solvent so you need to heat them to a specific temperature for them to cure which results in a more rigid print than other options.  For promotional goods or heavyweight materials where the softness of the print isn’t a concern, plastisol is perfect, but what if it does matter?  That’s where printing with waterbased ink comes in!

Waterbased Ink

Waterbased ink is a different kind of ink that can be used for screen printing that will give a different feel from your prints.  Waterbased ink does contain a solvent which means it can dry up when exposed to air, so you mix what you need as any excess cannot be reclaimed for future use.  The trade-off is that waterbased inks penetrate deeper into the fabric and leave barely any hand to your print.  Waterbased inks are great for all over prints too because it can easily go across seams and it’s lightweight on the garment despite the full coverage.

Where can you go to find custom screen printing using waterbased ink?  That’s the easiest part because you’ve already discovered us at AMBRO Manufacturing.  AMBRO Manufacturing is a contract apparel customization company so we have lots of garment decoration services for you to try out!  We’ve been in business for over 30 years so you can certainly trust in our professional quality!  It’s easy to get your own project started with us as all you have to do is reach out to one of our representatives and we can guide you from there.  You can contact us to place an order, or to find out more about our company and services,  by email or by giving us a call at (908) 806-8337.

Plastisol Ink Screen Printing

Here at AMBRO Manufacturing we sometimes get questions asking us what the difference is between plastisol ink screen printing and water based ink screen printing.  Some people don’t even realize that with screen printing comes many different types of inks to choose from depending on the material and final look you desire!  Plastisol ink screen printing is common because plastisol inks are more affordable and easily reclaimed for reuse, but it’s not the only option!

Plastisol Ink Screen Printing

Here at AMBRO Manufacturing we handle screen printing with many different specialty inks.  We’ve got plastisol ink screen printing alongside water based and discharge ink printing services so you’ll have the best of both worlds.  Water based inks differ from plastisol inks because they contain a solvent which makes them susceptible to drying out when exposed to air.  Water based ink is thinner than plastisol ink and when it dries it feels almost like the fabric because it has such soft hand.  Since water based inks are one-time use and cannot be reclaimed, they tend to be a little more expensive than the plastisol alternative.  The tradeoff is in the softness of the print though!

Plastisol ink screen printing versus water based ink screen printing isn’t a case of which one is better or worse, but rather which one is right for your project at the time.  Some designs you’d prefer to do with plastisol, but others might be a better fit for water based inks.  We at AMBRO Manufacturing can help you figure out which works best for you and then produce them for you!  We are a contract apparel customization company with over 30 years of experience, so we have the experience and the resources to get you to your printing goals.  If you would like to place an order with us, or if you would like to learn more about our company and services, you can contact us by email or by giving us a call at (908) 806-8337.

Discharge Printing Fabric

Discharge Printing Fabric

Discharge Printing Fabric

Everywhere you look there are printed clothes; hanging in store front windows, or in your closet. Most of them probably have the same kind of print or print style on them. If you want to shake up your wardrobe with something different, like a fun print, adding a specialty print on a shirt, or just a different feel, I know the perfect place that will be able to get you what you need.  Discharge Printing Fabric is the preferred method for achieving little to no hand for each design.

AMBRO Manufacturing is a screen printing company that is always making new strides in the techniques and ways to print garments. We do a lot of water based printing which will result in a very soft shirt that will seem like the ink is not there. One of the ways to accomplish that type is discharge printing fabric. Discharge printing is a process in which ink will bleach out the area of the design on the shirt, leaving a white area.

Discharge Printing Fabric

We can also dye the discharge ink to any color you would like; it won’t yield in a bright vibrant print, but will give you a much softer feel that sometimes you may want. The best colors to use for discharge printing fabric are dark colors, like black, navy and other colors alike. This will give the “bleaching out” a much better base; you will be able to see the design much better.

Come to AMBRO Manufacturing to get that unique piece of clothing that you can’t get anywhere else. You can give us a call any time at (908) 806 8337 or you can email us and we will get back to you with anything you may need to know about discharge printing fabric. We are located in Flemington, New Jersey. If you are located elsewhere in the state, we can have your items shipped out to you very quickly.

Discharge Printing on Fabric

Discharge printing on fabric has become super popular over the past few years. Most people like discharge printing on fabric because there is very little to no hand at all after it has been printed. But not many people know much more than that about discharge printing. Like when you choose discharge printing on fabric, the fabric must be a dark (preferably Black) 100% cotton material. This is because the discharge inks are created to deactivate the dyes that are used in the natural materials like cotton. Then once the dyes that were in the fabric have been removed in the shape of your logo you can then add the colors that you would like to have your print to be in.

Discharge Printing on Fabric

Not many companies offer discharge printing on fabric let alone offer jumbo or all over discharge printing, but AMBRO Manufacturing just so happen to offer all of those services and much more. We chose to bring in discharge printing because people are always looking to get sublimation on black shirts, but that is impossible so this is the next best thing if they do not want to dye sublimate the shirt to be black. We also love the way it looks and feels as well and how you can do an all over print and it feels as if there is nothing printed onto the shirt. If you have never gotten any discharge printing on fabric done before, we highly recommend you place an order for it so that you can see how truly amazing this print is with your own eyes and hands.

AMBRO Manufacturing would love to help you create your discharge printing but first we need you to pick up the phone and give us a call at (908) 806-8337 or to send us an email so we know what we can do for you.

Water Based Printing

Water Based Printing

Since the time that screen printing has been around, the tools and techniques have changed drastically in the past years. You can now get a lot of different styles of printing and some cool effects on garments. There is one place where any type of print can happen and that is at AMBRO Manufacturing.  Today I want to talk about Water Based Printing.

Water Based Printing

Most screen printing companies only do one or maybe two different styles of printing. We however can do so much more. Other than our standard printing that we offer, we can also offer you water based printing. There are not many printers that deal with water based printing and that is where we are different from the rest. The difference with plastisol ink and water based ink is a softer feel on the shirt. With our water based printing you can hardly feel ink on the shirt. It’s like the shirt never got a print on it but yet there is.

Water based ink works on all colors of shirts. We can get any color that you want by mixing a special formula. Some colors tend to feel softer than others, especially if we have to put two layers of ink on the shirt. Water based ink is much thinner than plastisol ink, which is the result of a softer print on the shirt. You can have an all over print or just a simple print on the front or back, the choices are endless.

You can give us a call any time at (908) 806 8337 or you can email us, and we will get back to you with any questions you have about our water based printing. We are located in Flemington, New Jersey and can ship out goods anywhere in the country. We are your one stop shop for all apparel printing purposes. We are about making your shirts be something that you have never seen before.

Discharge Printing T Shirts

If you want a company that knows what they are doing when it comes to discharge printing t shirts, well then you will want to work with AMBRO Manufacturing. We know what we are talking about when it comes to discharge printing t shirts. Some people may also know it as extract printing.

Discharge Printing T Shirts

Discharge printing is typically done on darker colored t shirts like Black or Grey. You also want to know that it works best when printing on a garment that is cotton. This is a water based ink but at the same time it is different from water based inks because this ink actually pulls the dye from the shirt, showing the shirts natural color. Once the color is pulled from the shirt (this is like your under base) you can print over top with whatever colors you would like. Another excellent thing about discharge printing t shirts is that you can get some bright and vibrant colors. You are also able to PMS color match. But when PMS color matching you also have to keep in mind the brand and the color of the shirts that you will be printing on because the color could come out looking a bit different than what you were expecting. But one thing we can say here at AMBRO Manufacturing is that if you choose a PMS color we do our very best to match it as close as possible, even if that requires us to print a few samples of the color first.

Discharge printing is something you are going to want to get your hands on not only because of how amazing it looks but also how amazing it feels. Call us today at (908) 806-8337 and we can help you get moving forward with your order so you can get your hands on those discharge printing t shirts and feel them, you can also send us an email as well.

Discharge Screen Printing Process

If you love wearing old style shirts or shirts that have a texture in the design, then you will love what we call discharge screen printing. Go to any other screen printing company and they may not be able to offer this kind of service to you.  The Discharge Screen Printing Process offers clients the ability to print over seams and all over a T-Shirt on the front and back.

Here at AMBRO Manufacturing, we offer a wide range of services among the discharge screen printing process. Here is a little information about exactly what goes into the discharge screen printing process. First of all, discharge screen printing is meant for very dark colored shirts like black. When printing with discharge ink it will remove the dye of the shirt, almost like when you bleach a colored shirt and it has light areas in it. The design will remove the ink of the shirt and you will see a “bleached out” version of the design. You can also make a discharge print have color by adding colored additives to the discharge agent.

Discharge Screen Printing Process

The end result is a nice soft print that you can hardly feel the ink on the shirt, and also it yields a nice vintage old look. Many people are starting to lean towards using water based or discharge ink because of the soft feel of the shirt with a design printed on it. Using this process really shows up nice when there are intricate designs in the artwork you provide.

Stop by our showroom to actually see what the discharge screen printing process produces. We have samples for you to get up close and really feel what it is like. You can give us a call any time at (908) 806 8337 or email us and we will have one of our sales representatives get back to you with anything you may need to know about the discharge screen printing process.

Discharge Printing Process

Discharge Printing Process

The Discharge Printing Process is slowly taking over the world of screen printing. Everywhere you look you will see a printing store. If you are getting tired of the same old types of prints and are looking for something new and fresh to stand out from the crowd, look no further. AMBRO Manufacturing is just the place you need to be for the new, crazy, and fun ways of screen printing.

Discharge Printing Process

One of our new services we can offer you is discharge printing. If you don’t know what that is I will tell you a little bit about the discharge printing process. Basically, instead of the print sitting on top of the shirts it will remove the dye of the shirt. This will produce a much softer print than using plastisol ink. Now to add color to the discharge printing process is a simple feat. All that we would need to do is add whatever color you want as an additive to the discharge inks. Once we have all of that completed, discharge printing is pretty much the same as normal screen printing, just with a different set of ink mixtures. Using the discharge printing process, you can get a finer amount of detail with the print because it is lighter ink that will be used. Discharge printing works very well on black and some other dark colored shirts.

When you want something different that will stand out from the crowd be sure to come to AMBRO Manufacturing and learn about our discharge printing. You can give us a call any time at (908) 806 8337 or email us and we will have someone get back to you with anything you may need to know. We are located in Flemington, New Jersey, and can ship out to anywhere in the country in a blink of an eye.

In the custom apparel world, you will find that your designs won’t always work with the ‘standard’ ways of printing.  That’s understandable because not every design is ‘standard’ and neither are the garments you choose to print on.  So the industry ‘standard’ for screen printing, that is, with plastisol inks, might not work for you.  As an example, let’s imagine printing a large logo on a flowy, lightweight blouse.  If you print using plastisol inks, microscopic solid pigments, you will find that once the print is cured and dried that it is stiff and not very breathable.  On a lightweight garment it will be weighed down and lose the natural airiness, which would defeat the purpose of that garment.  A garment like that would benefit from discharge screen printing.

Discharge Screen Printing

Discharge screen printing is a type of water based ink printing that has an added discharge agent in the mixture.  The discharge agent is responsible from removing pre-existing color from a garment so that you can replace it with the color of your choice.  Screen printing with water based inks doesn’t share the same disadvantages that plastisol inks carry.  Water based ink printing leaves a soft ‘hand’ on the garment which is perfect for lightweight materials.  You can run your hand across the print and you will barely feel a thing, that’s how soft these prints are.

At AMBRO Manufacturing we can take care of your custom discharge screen printing jobs.  We are a custom screen printing, sublimation and embroidery company based in Flemington, NJ and we’ve been in business for 30 years so you can count on our quality.  So get started today!
