Acrylic Ink Printing

Custom screen printing done with acrylic inks is pretty different from plastisol ink, so if you’re looking to change things up with your print work then maybe custom acrylic ink printing could be the answer.  Many people print using plastisol inks because it is simpler and most cost-efficient than acrylic ink since it can be reused over and over again with no negative effect, but that’s only part of the story. Plastisol inks are formulated in such a way that it dries stiff and when doing a lot of ink coverage, it can really weigh down the garment so it’s not ideal for every situation.  Here’s where acrylic-based ink printing can really shine because it’s softer and lighter than plastisol!

The key difference between acrylic-based ink printing and plastisol ink printing is the presence of a solvent in the mixture.  Plastisol inks lack a solvent and they won’t dry up when exposed to the air, but since acrylic ink does contain a solvent you have to mix just the right amount for the job at hand and use it quickly.  It might seem like you should just get plastisol inks and never have to worry, but that’s not really the case because plastisol inks don’t always feel nice when cured. If you want a luxurious fashion print you’ll need a different option.  AMBRO Manufacturing specializes in specialty ink screen printing including the use of Acrylic inks. These inks offer to print a reduced presence, that is more pleasing to the touch and that penetrate deeper into the fabric and across the seams while remaining lightweight and soft to the touch.

We are a screen printing company that offers much more than the average place. Not only do we print standard garments, but we can also do all over prints on shirts and other fabrics. Our all over t shirt prints range from patterns from edge to edge to prints that look like you are wearing a backpack. We can print over seams.

All Over Prints

Most of our all over prints are done with either screen printing or sublimation. The difference between the two is how the ink lays on the fabric. Screen printing, the ink will sit on top of the shirt, in sublimation the ink gets dyed into the fabric. Most of our screen printing all over prints consists of one or two colors; you can up to about four colors. If you want to use sublimation there is no color limit, because we can use a full color image all over the shirt. The only catch is that is must be a high enough resolution so that the picture will be very clear when printed. Both will produce great quality in Oversized Screen Printing Prints.

Discharge Printing Fabric

Discharge printing is a process in which ink will bleach out the area of the design on the shirt, leaving a white area.

We can also dye the discharge ink to any color you would like; it won’t yield in a bright vibrant print, but will give you a much softer feel that sometimes you may want. The best colors to use for discharge printing fabric are dark colors, like black, navy and other colors alike. This will give the “bleaching out” a much better base; you will be able to see the design much better.
