AMBRO Manufacturing provides custom and oversized screen printed Logo Blankets. Unlike most screen printers that max out at a print area of 22” x 29”, our smallest; large print starts at 40” x 40” and we only go bigger from there. To put that size in perspective, a 40” x 40” print area would eclipse an adult XL T-Shirt, meaning we could literally print all over that entire T-Shirt without breathing hard.

Logo Blankets

If you have been looking for a great item to sell in your spirit wear store, Logo Blankets could be your next big hit. Typically, logo blankets, otherwise known as Stadium Blankets, Promotional Blankets or College Blankets are 50” x 60” in size. They come in both traditional fleece (sweat shirt material) and Waterproof, which is fleece covered on one side with nylon, like a windbreaker.

The most common print option for Logo Blankets is a 48” print in the center of the blanket, in Landscape position. Although some customers do choose Portrait, Landscape is more traditional. Blankets can be printed in up to 4 colors, but 95% of the time, customers choose one color because it’s more classic looking and it’s far more economical than a 4 color print blanket.

Often called All Over Shirt Printing, Large Format Screen Printing, Over Sized Screen Printing or a variety of other suitable descriptions, Jumbo Screen Printing on the entire surface area of a T-Shirt, from seam to seam, shoulder to waist and on the neck.

Most standard screen printing presses offer a maximum of a 14” x 16” print area. This type of print area is perfect any T-Shirt. However, when artists and fashion designers begin offering T-Shirts with prints that completely cover the surface area of the front and back of a T-Shirt, these small screen sizes won’t do the job.

There is no governing body in the screen printing industry that defines what Jumbo Screen Printing actually means. As a result, providers across the country make claims of Jumbo Screen Printing and they can’t always provide the level of print that is expected by their customers.

Some screen printers that don’t have Jumbo Screen Printing equipment will “seam” together two prints to give the illusion of an all over print. Even with manual alignment, seaming always leaves a noticeable seam area.

In order to truly get an all over screen print, specialized screens, pallets and presses must be used.

AMBRO Manufacturing has an internal machine shop staffed with engineers that provide the tooling and experience necessary for us to achieve truly large screen printing results.

AMBRO Manufacturing defines “Jumbo” as anything starting with 40” x 40” of print area, we calculate not the size of the frame, but the actual size of the printable area. Large format screen printing is a specialty that few screen printers offer.

Simulated Process Screen Printing is a special screen printing method that allows screen printers to print in full color, high resolution quality and reproduce photo realistic results on dark garments.

Traditional 4 color process printing, not simulated, is used when printing on white garments, but when switching to dark garments, Simulated Process Screen Printing is required.

Where as a traditional 4 color process printing job is truly 4 colors, a simulated process screen printing job is typically 4 to 6 colors and depending on the design may be up to 10 colors.

All Over Shirt

All Over Shirt Screen Printing is very different than standard screen printing.  The first and most missed element is the various additional screens required for the process.

In most standard screen printing jobs, the most screens that you might use for different sizes would be two sets.  Typically a set for adult and a set for youth.  In All Over Shirt Screen Printing, one set per size is required.  So if you have 6 sizes in your run and you have 4 colors in each design, you’ll need 24 screens for that single job.  Since screen setup costs for All Over Shirt prints tend to be higher, you may want to prepare your client for much higher setup fees.

By natue an All Over Shirt screen print is … well … all over.  The integrity of a specific design might be impacted by the size of the shirt.  As an example, let’s say that you were licensed to print Kermit The Frog.  If Kermit’s head was 30 inches wide in the design and you were printing on Small, Medium, Large, XL and 2XL, Kermit’s ears would not get printed on the smalls and mediums because 30 inches exceeds the width of those garments.  Kermit would fit perfectly on the large and on the XL and 2XL there would be a lot of blank space.  Each size shirt in the rung would make the design look very different.  It is for this reason that in a true All Over Shirt print, separate screens for each size shirt must be made.
